The quest for the women’s hockey gold medal in this year’s Olympics is already underway. The men’s competition gets started on Wednesday with Czech Republic and Sweden squaring off.
The NHL will be taking a break through February 25 as some of its biggest stars will be on the world’s stage in Sochi. Included in that group is Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks, who will be suiting up for Team USA. The American squad has talent but, if needed, the NFL’s 2012 Defensive Player of the Year would like to remind us he can be of use.
